Abstract: Empirical estimation models have shown, ever since their inception, that they are useful tools in the Information Technology industry. Many models have been made over the years focusing on different aspects of system development. The use of cloud-based computing has changed the way software companies develop their systems and products. As a result, this project will be looking at the impact this has had on software cost estimation, and attempt to extend the functionality of one such model. This will lead to more accurate estimations for cloud-based approaches.
