Abstract: The growing interest on underground economy in capitalist economies goes hand in hand with the recent enrichment of the literature concerning it. Despite the fact that different studies have given it different definitions, 1 identified different causes and used different estimation methods,3 a few conclusion can be derived regarding this form of economic activity.
