| Abstract: | The ratio of long-term unemployed persons in relation to the unemployed population in Malta has grown considerably between 2008 and 2012. This article discusses major factors driving transitions into and out of long-term unemployment, and state policies being implemented to prevent and tackle long-term unemployment. |
