This study sets out to analyse consumption traits in Malta from an ethical perspective. Statistics will be consulted to analyze consumption patterns and the priorities the Maltese hold on to when faced by consumption choices. The study will take a closer look at the consequences of overconsumption both on the individual and the environment. Pertinant questions will be raised to analyze whether more is always better. Where does more end? The study aims to analyse the mean between conspicious purchasing and ethical consumption. Human beings have a moral obligation to curb certain consumption patterns to preserve the beauty of planet earth for tomorrow’s generations. Finally, the study will delve into the issue of whether overconsumption is leading to fulfillment or whether it is simply a quest to have more and accumulate wealth. In view of the findings of the research, the study concludes by presenting recommendations that can be implemented as a way foward.en_GB
