Abstract

Small words tend to have no syntax or semantics alone however in the speech and oral statements they play an important role, especially in Maltese. Some of these expressions help to accentuate the strength of the message. These auxiliary verbs are verbs that add functional or grammatical meaning to the clause in which it appears.
