Abstract: This dissertation aims to expound Danto’s Theory of Art, particularly his concepts of embodied meaning and the end of art. This leads to an argument regarding the importance and role of the viewer in the creation of art. Following that section, this dissertation will proceed to apply the theory in practice to the medium of video games and how it is possible for them to become works of art, particularly when considering the importance of interactivity.
