Abstract: Ramla Bay, is located in Gozo which makes part of the Maltese Islands. Changes in sediment, composition and distribution of sediment at this bay have intrigued layman and scientific minds for years. Through this study studies by several authors were reviewed from which information on the sediment located at the bay and information on the factors that cause changes to this sediment was gathered. The methodologies: sand sieving, quadrant sampling and wave count were conducted in winter and in spring and the results of both seasons were compared, all results verified that significant changes took place. Several aerial images from other years were observed and compared; the results showed that changes do not always occur in a similar order between one year and another. Further studies and further protection of Ramla Bay are also suggested in this dissertation.
