Abstract

In this issue of BOOKMark, one can find a very interesting contribution by Dr Mario Cassar enitled ‘Is-Seher tal-Letteratura’, in which the author tries to answer the questions: Why should literature be taught and studied in schools? And what is it about literature which captivates the mind of readers? Another article briefly explores the role of the Librarian and tries to lay out some of the work carried out by Librarians.

The Librarians’ Choice of books focuses on Christmas, as well as inspirational story of Hellen Keller and the memoirs of Buddy Valastro, the master baker of the hit show Cake Boss. One also finds information about Emoticons in the ‘Did you know’ corner, as well as tips on how to cite a source when writing. It also includes a list of some of the new books at the library and some useful links.
