Abstract: The English language school industry has been an important and valuable upcoming niche tourism market in Malta. The Maltese Islands have managed to establish themselves as a valid destination for learning English as a foreign language. This research paper sets out to explore this industry in Malta, focusing on the benefits to society and individuals. By doing so, it will be seen that it leaves an impact on the person and taps into the emotions in the way people think and act because of the human element. This is intended to be an interesting research subject, especially since this industry is a growing industry. To carry out the research, both primary and secondary data methods were collected and analysed. From the findings, there was the general concept that the language school does benefit and impact anyone involved in the industry. A specific finding that emerged was that, when working in this industry the experience is beneficial for the individual at present and in the future. This suggests that working with foreigners enables Maltese people to grow and learn different cultures. The conclusions demonstrate that Malta is able to attract a considerable amount of EFL students each year. This implies that the English language school industry in Malta is striving to reach out of a niche market and prosper as a market segment in its own right.
