Abstract: Chev Dr Charles Xuereb talks with Prof Carmel Cassar about Luca de Armenia. Luca de Armenia was a 16th-century Maltese notable who came from a family of corsairs who attacked Muslim Maghrebi shipping. He was the son of Antonio de Armenia, who served as Vice Portulano of the Maltese Islands in 1527. Antonio had two sons, Fra Leone, a Dominican preacher, and Luca.
Description: A series of programmes focusing on important individuals that arrived in Malta by sea in olden times from places that has shared our ancient culture.
