| dc.description.abstract | Se nibdew dan il-ktejjeb billi nagħtu definizzjoni fil-qosor ta’ x’nifhmu b’mistiċiżmu. Se nippruvaw ukoll nibnu stampa ta’ min hu l-mistiku, jew il-mistika, filwaqt li nirrikonoxxu d-diversità li nsibu fost il-mistiċi li nafu bihom. Sejrin imbagħad nagħtu ħarsa lejn it-teoloġija mistika billi nisiltu ħames aspetti li ġew enfasizzati fl-istudju teoloġiku tal-mistiċiżmu. Fil-proċess, se nsemmu il-prinċipji fundamentali li jirrigwardaw il-mistiċiżmu nisrani. Lejn l-aħħar ta’ din l-introduzzjoni, sejrin nitkellmu dwar l-esperjenzi mistiċi. Nistaqsu jekk il-fenomeni li huma assoċjati ma’ dawk li huma meqjusa bħala mistiċi għandhomx ikunu meqjusa bħala esperjenzi mistiċi tassew, jekk dawn seħħewx tassew fiżikament, jew kinux sempliċiment prodott tal-immaġinazzjoni, jekk dawn għandhomx jittieħdu bis-serjetà, u jekk humiex esperjenzi neċessarji għal kull nisrani.
