Abstract: Despite the tradition of studying political campaigning, we know little about the use of permanent campaigning in our local scenario. This paper investigates the permanent campaign that the Labour Youth Forum championed, after the defeat of the Labour Party in the General Elections of 2008 and which resulted in its historical victory in the General Elections of 2013. Youths were empowered not to be spectators but to be protagonists. Utilizing information that was gathered from present and past Executive members of the Labour Youth Forum, this study explores the use of permanent campaigning as a tool to reach the younger generations, involve them in politics, making them a vital part of the campaign with the ultimate goal of winning the General Elections.
