| Abstract: | The following is a comparative study on the relationship between the executive and the legislature in different systems of government. This is relationship is a key factor in defining a system from another, the Presidential system has a legislature which is distinct from the executive. While the executive in Parliamentary systems comes from the legislature. The weaknesses of these two systems led to the application of a hybrid of the pair, the semi-presidential system. |
