For the first time ever, three books published by Malta University Press (MUP) have made it to the finals of the National Book Prize, organised by the National Book Council.
Here are the shortlisted publications in their respective categories.
Research Category

Historiographic Research Category
- 'Cleardo Naudi: The University’s First Professor of Chemistry and Materia Medica, A Delphian and Enigmatic Academic' by Prof. Roger Ellul Micallef
- 'Mediterranean Jews, Crypto-Jews and the Inquisition in Early Modern Malta' by Prof. Carmel Cassar
The winners will be announced during an award-giving ceremony later this month.
