The Malta Review of Educational Research (MRER) has reached the halfway point of its 20x20 anniversary celebration programme, attracting hundreds of participants to a diverse range of seminars, public lectures, book launches, and other scholarly events.
The anniversary programme, which commemorates two decades of MRER's contribution to educational research, critical scholarship, and academic dialogue, has brought together academics, researchers, educators, students, policymakers, and members of the wider public. The strong attendance and active participation witnessed thus far reflect the MRER Project's enduring relevance and its role as an important platform for educational debate and knowledge exchange both within Malta and beyond.
Since its launch, the 20x20 programme has provided opportunities for participants to engage with local and international scholars while fostering meaningful dialogue on some of the most pressing challenges facing education today.
Following the summer break, the anniversary celebrations will resume in October with a new series of lectures and seminars, alongside the launch of the MRER Webinar Series, which will further extend opportunities for engagement with educational research and practice. The webinar initiative is intended to broaden participation and facilitate dialogue across geographical and institutional boundaries, reinforcing MRER's commitment to accessible and impactful scholarship.
The anniversary programme will culminate on 10 December with the MRER 20th Anniversary Lecture, bringing to a close a year-long celebration of the journal's achievements and its contribution to the advancement of educational research over the past two decades.
