Prof. Raymond Mangion presents publication to UM Rector

Prof. Raymond Mangion from the Department of Legal History and Legal Research Methods has recently published a new monograph entitled The Legislative and Constitutional Development of the Maltese Language in a Historico-Literary Context, released by Klabb Kotba Maltin (Midsea Books).

The publication offers an in-depth examination of the historical, literary, legislative, and constitutional development of the Maltese language, highlighting its evolution and recognition within Malta's legal framework and cultural heritage.

The book was officially launched on 4 May 2026 at the Sala Pietru Pawl Saydon (Arts Lecture Theatre) at the University of Malta.

Last February, Prof. Mangion also presented a copy of the monograph to UM Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella.

The proceeds from the sale of the book are being donated to the Trust Foundation, reflecting the author's commitment to supporting charitable initiatives through academic work.

The publication was also supported by James Caterers Limited.
