Meta Ġej? Book Launch

On 7 November 2025,  Horizons launched Mr Alfred Scalpello's seventh translation - a translation German into Maltese of Iris Wolff's best-selling novel 'Lichtungen'/Meta Ġej. The book was launched during the book fair in the presence of Iris Wolff herself.

This literary work has won the German author various awards, was on the Spiegel bestseller list for several weeks and was short listed for the German Book prize 2024. The Maltese version was short listed for the National book Prize too.

It is a love story between Lev and Kato, told in reverse and set at a time when Ceausescu still ruled Rumania in a dictatorial manner.
