JC Staff Explore Neuroscience in Budapest Through Erasmus+

Three members of the Junior College staff—Gerald Grech, Luke Zarb Demajo, and Patricia Zerafa—recently traveled to Budapest, Hungary, to attend an intensive training course titled Neuroscience: Understand How Your Students Learn. The professional development mobility took place between 14 and 19 September 2026.

The course was organised by the Europass Teacher Academy and delivered locally by the Converzum Science Language School.

Throughout the week, the JC participants delved into the inner workings of the human brain, exploring how it processes and retains information. The training focused on practical, evidence-informed neuroeducation strategies designed for immediate classroom application. These cutting-edge techniques aim to boost long-term knowledge retention, maximise student engagement, and help learners reach their full academic potential.

By combining deep theoretical insights with collaborative group discussions and practical examples, the course allowed the educators to reflect on their current teaching methods and discover innovative ways to enhance student learning.

This international opportunity was coordinated by the JC International Office and co-funded through the Erasmus+ Programme, underscoring the College's ongoing commitment to staff development and global educational standards.
