The 2026 Faculty of Engineering Exhibition: A Showcase of Excellence Across Diverse Final-Year Projects

38 final-year University of Malta Engineering students showcased their projects to the general public, in the latest edition of the Faculty of Engineering Exhibition.

Held on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June 2026, the exhibition was once again a resounding success, bringing together students, academic, technical and administrative staff, industry partners and visitors in a shared celebration of the exceptional work produced by this year’s final-year engineering students.

A number of engineering labs were also opened to visitors, who were able to explore them freely at their own pace, providing an opportunity to discover the facilities, research, and technologies that supported engineering education and innovation at the University of Malta.

A special moment during this year's Faculty of Engineering Exhibition was the inauguration of a commemorative plaque recognising all the individuals who had served, and were continuing to serve, as Dean of the Faculty. The plaque honoured the leadership and dedication of past and present Deans who had helped shape the Faculty over the years and contributed to its continued growth and success. “It stands as a tribute to the past, a celebration of the present, and an inspiration for the future”, said current Dean, Prof. Ing. Andrew Sammut

The organising team wishes to express their gratitude to all those who made the event possible: from the PR committee, to the other colleagues, whose collective effort ensured the smooth running of the exhibition. Special thanks also goes to all students whose hard work and dedication formed the foundation of the entire showcase.

This exhibition was a testament to your technical knowledge, creativity, and perseverance, showcasing the impressive achievements that you have accomplished throughout your engineering journey. Every project reflects not only your skills, but also your passion for engineering and your commitment to solving real-world challenges”, concluded Deputy Dean, Dr Jean-Paul Mollicone.
