The second issue of the Poverty Observatory, PROMISE's Biannual Bulletin is here

We are excited to share the second edition of the Poverty observatory, specifically dedicated to one of the most pressing issues in our society; child poverty. Growing up in poverty isn’t just a financial metric; it shapes a child’s health, education, and entire future. It is therefore our duty to shine a light on these realities and bring together evidence and insights to allow for informed action.

We hope that this issue contributes to meaningful dialogue and stronger responses that ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Inside you'll find:

- A snapshot of the current statistics related to child poverty
- A feature article with regards to the role of education to alleviate child poverty
- Stories from practitioners working hands on in the field
- Policy updates from Malta and the EU
- A historical spotlight in the form of a book review on the topic
- A vanguard perspective on how child poverty has evolved in Malta
- A number of initiatives and programs currently being offered by different entities
- Some additional readings and resources

This is your invitation to read, reflect, and engage.
