Reduce and reuse: collection points to donate clothes for a thrift shop on Campus

On the occasion of the European Week for Waste Reduction, the Office of the Pro-Rector for Strategic Planning and Sustainability is inviting the UM Community to donate clean, unwanted clothing items in order to give these items a new lease of life and sell them at heavily reduced prices. Students from the Institute of Earth Systems and the Faculty of Education are joining forces to set up a thrift shop from where the UM Community would be able to purchase clothing items against a small donation. The money collected will be given to charity. The date and venue where the thrift shop will operate will be announced next week.

Clothes for all seasons, which must be clean and in good condition, may be brought along (no undergarments should be included). If you are interested in participating, you can deposit the clothes at any of the following collection points on Campus by no later than 18 November:

- Faculty of Arts - Guze Cassar Pullicino Building, bottom of the stairs
- Faculty of Built Environment, 3rd Floor (next to the collection point for plastic, glass, etc.)
