Women’s Day celebrated with a guided tour of the Parliament of Malta

In celebration of International Women’s Day, staff and students enjoyed a special one-hour guided tour of the Parliament of Malta. The visit offered a unique opportunity to explore Malta’s highest decision-making institution and gain a deeper understanding of how Members of Parliament shape national policy.

Attendees were able to meet two female Members of Parliament, Hon. Rebecca Buttigieg and Hon. Graziella Attard Previ, who shared their experiences and insights on the role of women in national decision-making. Staff and students were also encouraged to ask questions throughout the tour and received detailed information about the workings of Parliament, offering a behind-the-scenes perspective on Malta’s legislative processes.

The event concluded with a gesture of appreciation for all staff, who each received a flower in celebration of Women’s Day. Photos from the tour capture the engagement, learning, and festive spirit of the occasion.

The event was coordinated by the Equity Office in collaboration with the Conferences and Events Unit, and the Office for Human Resources Management and Development.
