FERMI Nineteenth Call for Proposals

Researchers from the University of Malta are invited to submit applications under the Nineteenth Call for user experiments at the FERMI FEL-1 and FEL-2 free-electron laser facilities, TeraFERMI, CITIUS and T-ReX laboratories, located at Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 1 December 2025 - h. 23:59 (CET).

We would like to inform you that FERMI can provide seeded FEL pulses, with tunable photon energy and polarization, up to about 400 eV. We also remind you that seeded FEL pulses, with reduced pulse energy, are available in the 400-900 eV photon energy range with tunable elliptical polarization. The efficient use of such pulses depends on the specific beamline, should you be interested in these options, please contact the beamline scientist by email for more information.
