Funding Opportunity: Prototype to Minimum Viable Product (P2M) Programme

Xjenza Malta is urging stakeholders to apply to the Prototype to Minimum Viable Product (P2M) Programme.

With the next application cut-off date fast approaching, Xjenza Malta would like to remind stakeholders that applications for the Prototype to Minimum Viable Product (P2M) Programme will be evaluated at the end of June 2026.

The P2M Programme supports Maltese registered SMEs and start-ups in developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and achieving early market traction, including first sales or pilot customers.

Selected participants can benefit from up to €30,000 in funding to support the development of an MVP.

Budget is categorised as follows:
• A Base Grant of up to €16,000 to support project implementation
• A Performance-Based Top-Up of up to €5,000 upon achievement of agreed market validation and traction milestones
• A Start-up Top-Up of up to €5,000 for eligible newly established research-performing companies
• An optional Market Discovery Voucher of up to €4,000 to support market positioning, investor targeting, and commercial readiness

Applicants interested in being considered during the upcoming evaluation round are encouraged to submit their applications before the end of June. Applications received after the cut-off date will be carried forward to the next evaluation period.
