UM academic delivers inaugural lectures for Master's programme in Valencia

Dr Giselle Spiteri Miggiani was invited to deliver the inaugural lectures for this year's edition of the Master de Formacion Permanente en Traduccion Audiovisual at Universidad Europea in Valencia, Spain. The cohort included postgraduate students from Spain, Argentina, Brazil, India, Ukraine, Belgium, Italy and the US.

The opening lectures provided foundational knowledge in audiovisual translation, guiding students through key concepts and principles, and offering an overview of current industry practices, modalities, global work flows, technologies, tools and the evolving job market.

The Department of Translation, Terminology and Interpreting Studies at UM offers globally-oriented specialised training in audiovisual translation and media accessibility as part of the Master in Translation and Terminology Studies. This programme attracts both local and international students thanks to diverse language offerings.
