The Malta University Sport Association (MUSA) is proud to announce that Zack Mangani and Marcus Zarb Grech will represent Malta at the FISU World Forum, taking place in Östersund, Sweden from 24 to 28 August 2026. The Forum brings together students, university sport leaders, officials and stakeholders from around the world to discuss the future of university sport under the theme "Active Body, Healthy Mind: How Impactful Sport can be at Universities."
As Malta's representatives, Zack and Marcus will participate in keynote sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and international networking activities focusing on Healthy Campus initiatives, inclusive and sustainable university sport, good governance, and dual-career opportunities for student-athletes.
Their participation reflects MUSA's continued commitment to strengthening university sport in Malta by bringing back international knowledge, best practices and innovative ideas that will benefit student-athletes and the wider university community.
The Forum provides a unique platform for delegates from more than 60 countries to exchange experiences, develop international partnerships and contribute to discussions shaping the future of university sport worldwide.
Zack Mangani, Treasurer of the Malta University Sport Association, said: "It is a great honour to represent Malta and MUSA at the FISU World Forum. This is a valuable opportunity to learn from international experts, exchange ideas with delegates from around the world, and bring back knowledge that will help strengthen university sport in Malta. We look forward to building new partnerships and contributing to the continued growth of the university sports community."
MUSA would like to express its sincere appreciation to Visit Malta for their continued support in making international participation possible.
This participation marks another important step in MUSA's growing international presence. Following its recent involvement in FISU championships, the association looks forward to continuing to represent Malta at future international university sport events while creating new opportunities for University of Malta students to engage, compete and lead on the global stage.
