Event: An Invisible Reality: gender-based violence against women with disabilities - an approach to the situation in Spain

A public talk and panel discussion titled “An Invisible Reality: Gender-Based Violence Against Women with Disabilities – An Approach to the Situation in Spain” will be held on 27 November 2025 from 17:00 to 19:00, as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
The event, sponsored by the Spanish Embassy, will feature an opening speech by His Excellency José María Muriel Palomino and a keynote by Dr Esther Castellanos Torres from the University of Alicante, Spain. The session will address the often overlooked forms of violence experienced by women with disabilities and highlight the need for stronger, more inclusive protections.
Open to the public, the event aims to raise awareness, encourage dialogue, and support ongoing advocacy efforts.
