Event: Bring Your Own Cup!
Date: Wednesday 14 January 2026
Time: 11:00-15:00
Venue: The Quad, UM Msida Campus
Join us for a sustainability-focused campus event that encourages students and staff to rethink their daily coffee habits. The Bring Your Own Cup campaign aims to reduce the growing amount of waste caused by disposable coffee cups by promoting the use of reusable cups and mugs.
What’s happening?
A stand will be set up on the Quad, strategically located between the cafeteria and Coffee Circus, where participants can take part in several interactive and rewarding activities:
Coffee & Food Rewards: Bring your own reusable cup and enjoy 50% off coffee at the cafeteria on 14 January. Complete our short sustainability quiz and receive free, healthy, tasty and homemade food.
Education & Awareness: Informative posters will display striking facts and figures about the volume of waste generated by single-use coffee cups, making the environmental impact visible and tangible.
Interactive Quiz: Scan a QR code to take part in a short quiz and stand a chance to win a reusable cup.
This one-day event is supported by a preparatory awareness campaign and is designed to make sustainable choices easy, attractive, and rewarding. By combining small behavioural nudges with positive incentives, the initiative encourages lasting habit change—one cup at a time.
Bring your cup. Reduce waste. Make a difference.
