On Friday 29 May 2026, at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Floriana, the Department of European & Comparative Law hosts the Conference on Fundamental Rights in the Age of AI.
The Conference is the concluding event of the Jean Monnet Chair in European Rights (EUCIT). It will also include as its integral part a workshop under the Reinforcing Equality and Fundamental Rights in an Artificial Intelligence-Maintained Environment (REFRAIME) project.
The full‑day event will bring together leading scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to examine how AI is reshaping the rule of law, ethics, accountability, and the protection of fundamental rights in the EU.
