Join the conversation about how life’s messy lessons make us all lifelong learners at THINK Soapbox! ðŸ§
For the last 17 years, Alex Dunedin has found a way of transforming his life through social learning and the traditions of free education. Through his work, he invites others into conversations about learning, community and the possibilities that emerge when people share their knowledge and experiences with one another.
The Ragged University, founded by Dunedin, revives the spirit of 19th-century Ragged Schools through free, peer-led learning. It operates in public spaces like pubs, cafes, and libraries, where anyone can share or access knowledge without fees or barriers. Grounded in community goodwill, the initiative honours life experience as education, making lifelong learning freely accessible to everyone.
THINK Soapbox is open to anyone who is interested in exploring the concept of the Ragged University and how it challenges mainstream approaches to education. In Dunedin's company, we'll get some answers to the following questions:
Join THINK, the Faculty for Social Wellbeing, and the Faculty of Health Sciences for a drink and snacks (provided)!
