We combine well-established strategies with innovative data, concepts and methodologies from geology, geomorphology, sedimentology, geophysics and engineering to address long-standing and fundamental questions in marine geosciences. Our methods are rooted in a multi-scale approach that incorporates accurate field measurements topographic analyses, laboratory simulations and numerical modelling. The key driver of our research is to understand the fundamental processes and dynamics of seafloor and sub-seafloor evolution. Our work has applications ranging from hazard assessment, palaeo-environmental reconstruction, resource assessment and management, and ocean governance, among others.
