The Board Meeting of the University Network of European Capitals of Culture (UNeECC) was hosted by Neapolis University of Paphos, Cyprus, recently. The University of Malta is a member of the Network, and the University delegate, Professor Carmel Cassar, serves as a member of the board. Dr Giuseppina Cardia (Lecturer and Projects Coordinator at ITTC) and Mr Glen Farrugia (Officer-in-Charge of the Secretariat of the Valletta 2018 Foundation) are members of UNeECC Scientific Committee.
The meeting was opened by Prof. Dr Spyros Makridakis, Rector of the Neapolis University of Paphos.
UNeECC President Prof. Flora Carrijn (Provost at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium) thanked Prof. Makridakis for the hospitality and the involvement of Neapolis University in the network.
Dr Konstantinos Tsagkaridis, a lecturer in Experimental Psychology, was invited to discuss the participation of the School of Health Sciences in the Pafos 2017 Cultural Barometer, and Yannis Koutsolambros, member of the Pafos 2017 ECOC Board presented the work of the Organisation.
