Description:

The part-timer will be involved in the day-to-day industrial activities within the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering (DMME) laboratory. This will involve participating in numerous tasks which include surface treatments, bulk heat treatments, material characterisation and testing, operation of equipment, and laboratory maintenance work.

The selected candidate will provide support to the supervising Systems Engineer in all tasks related to industrial work carried out at the DMME labs.

Summer Traineeship Scheme (National Literacy Agency - NLA)

Description:

As part of the national reading campaign Aqra fis-Sajf, the National Literacy Agency (NLA) will organise fun educational programmes to promote language and literacy during summer 2024.

Aqra fis-Sajf officials will be delivering animated reading sessions, in both Maltese and English. Sessions will be delivered in-person and/or online. Officials will be expected to be available for work from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for the whole duration of the summer working phase.

Selected officials will be provided with Maltese and English books, suitable for read aloud and shared reading, to enable them to carry out these reading sessions. They will be expected to prepare and plan sessions, implement a variety of reading activities during the reading session, as well as keep a detailed record of work. It is also the responsibility of the Aqra fis-Sajf officials to ensure that any competitions or activities related to the campaign are effectively carried out.

Description:

Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software for a variety of applications.

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to an existing enterprise systems, and/or new systems, environments, and technology.

Design, implement, and unit test application / system components.

Provide assistance to other agile team members in researching and answering technical questions.

Participate in agile development.

Requirements:

English speaking with some knowledge in: Visual Studio 2010 or higher.

NET framework, including Visual Studio, ASP.NET

Development experience utilizing C#
