Abstract: A talk organised by the Augustinian Institute together with the Faculty of Theology of the University of Malta and given by Prof John Rist about Augustine, Aristotelianism and Aquinas. John Michael Rist (born 1936), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, is a British scholar of ancient philosophy, classics, and early Christian philosophy and theology, known mainly for his contributions to the history of metaphysics and ethics. He is the author of monographs on Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics, Epicurus, Plotinus, the dating of the Gospels, and Augustine.
Description: A series of lectures, talks and discussions held both on campus and off campus and transmitted on Campus FM 103.7 during the October 2006 – January 2007 schedule.
