Abstract: In studying the Sicilian element in Maltese the most elusive problem is without a doubt the fact that the most typical consonant connections of the Sicilian dialects are absent. Indeed the assimilation of ND and MB in -nn- and -mm and the cacuminal consonants do not register in the Maltese. The author shall continue on delving into this subject in this article.
