| Abstract: | The Maltese Augustinian Province, in collaboration with the Faculty of Theology of the University of Malta and the Foundation for Theological Studies of the Archdiocese of Malta, has recently held the third annual Saint Augustine lecture at the University of Malta. The lecture was set up in 1994 with the aim of bringing to the fore the latest developments and studies on Saint Augustine of Hippo's (354- 430) thought and vast literary production. Up to now, it has also been possible to invite young scholars from Europe who have only recently finished their doctoral dissertation, and have, as a result, been able to bring to the lecture some modem and original elucidations on the topics they dealt with. |
