| Abstract: | The Mediterranean Office of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung based in Malta, has granted generous financial assistance to this project by funding the 1993 seminar and the publication of this volume. The FES has been collaborating with the WPDC in its education and research programme for the past 4 years and this has enabled the Centre to embark on new initiatives. The International Labour Organisation (ILO) , through its offices in Geneva, has also given its support by endorsing and part-financing the participation of key officials who have served as resource persons to the seminars. The Scott Bader Commonwealth, an interesting and economically profitable experiment in collective worker trusteeship, must be thanked for co-sponsoring the participation of its Commonwealth Secretary and for following this up with a courtesy visit to Malta by its Life President. |
