Corporate social responsibility of banks in Malta

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to create awareness about the necessity of adequate Corporate Social Responsibility policies adopted by the banking industry. Four Corporate Social Responsibility theories are discussed and policies used by a sample of local and foreign banks are identified with said theories. This dissertation analyses how Corporate Social Responsibility policies are implemented in Maltese banks compared with banks in the European Union.
