| Abstract: | We are used to interpreting economic and labour trends from such indicators as employment or unemployment rates, economic growth, job vacancies and redundancies, and foreign direct investment. This paper suggests an additional, as yet under-appreciated, source of data for understanding Malta’s unfolding economic development, and its impact on employment. |
