| Abstract: | Sergio Grech explores the political literature of Guze Ellul Mercer especially in his book "Martirju ta' Poplu". Ġużè Ellul Mercer (22 March 1897 – 22 September 1961) was a Maltese author, journalist and politician. He joined the Labour Party (PL) and he started his parliamentary career in 1924. He was subsequently elected Member of Parliament at the general elections held in 1951 and 1955. His book "Martirju ta' Poplu" was published posthumously. |
| Description: | Sergio Grech presents a program about political literature. Politics is a part of our life and the writer feels the need to comment on the everyday politics sometimes in for and sometimes against the regime. The poet uses his poetry to bring out his message and talk for the people who have no voice. It reflects the history of the time. |
