| Abstract: | The welder/burner is a skilled worker that daily faces a number of hazards at his place of work This study lays out a detailed description of the welding processes involved in the job done by welder/burners at Malta Shipyards and delineates the hazards the welder/burner encounters daily. By means of questionnaires the awareness of the workers' health and safety is investigated. Their attitude towards further training in protecting their own safety well as that of others at their place of work is discussed. |
