Abstract: Water scarcity is a common problem in the world. However most of us are not aware of this issue since they have constant and abundant access to water. Due to this lack of awareness, most often water scarcity is not tackled in the way it should. Awareness should start at an early stage in life. Children should be educated from a tender age to realise the effect water scarcity has on our surroundings. There are various ways of imparting this message to school children, the more interactive the method the better children understand it. When children learn about water shortages during their education, then they are more apt to communicate this message to their family and neighbours. In this way even adults can appreciate and do their bit to alleviate this situation. This study takes a look at the vastness of water scarcity around the world and discusses different methods of transmitting awareness to the younger generation. These will be our ambassadors in conveying this message to those around them.
