he Department of Arts & Languages in Education (DALE) deals primarily with teacher formation and with research in Pedagogy and Teaching Methodology. It promotes innovative teaching and learning methods for the areas which fall within its remit, namely Art, English, French, German, History, Italian, Maltese, Music, Religion, Social Studies and Spanish. Members of staff are also at the forefront of promoting these areas in both community and national ventures. The department offers programmes at both undergraduate, post-graduate and Masters level and publications by staff members often feature in local and international refereed journals. The department is also involved in several international projects and collaborates with a number of foreign universities. Graduates of DALE have contributed to various sectors in the social sphere, besides education.
