Abstract: The article focuses on the concept of unity in four different bilateral dialogues in which the Roman Catholic Church is a partner. The bilateral dialogues studied are those with the Church of England, the Methodist World Federation, the Lutheran Church Fellowship and the World Alliance of Reformed Churches. The study unravels the trinitarian foundations for 'koinonia', prayer, humility, reconciliation, the healing of memories, mutual understanding and common witness. At the foundation of all these dimensions there lies the centrality of an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
