| Abstract: | The article highlights the positive and fruitful consequences of the Return to the Christian Sources Movement during the first half of the twentieth century. The Liturgical Movement and the rediscovery of the Church Fathers led to a greater participation in the liturgy and to a living appreciation of how the celebration of the sacraments nourished and nurtured the Christian community, while leading the faithful to offer themselves in service to others, and thus to bear witness in the Church and in society. Proclaiming the eternal freshness of Christ's message means responding to the Christian vocation of being individuals who are instruments of grace for others. |
