Abstract: The edited transcript of an interview with the young priest, Joseph Lupi, who while doing postgraduate studies in Rome between 1937 and 1939, was a resident at the Pontifical Scots College. The text makes interesting reading as it describes life in Rome, and moreover in a seminary in Rome in the years immediately prior to World War II. Lupi refers to a number of important events in Rome during those years.
