| Abstract: | An afterword to Gioele Galea's poetry can only be, at best, reductive. At worst, enclosing his collection between an introduction and an afterword runs counter to the naked silence it seems to crave. To write this afterword is to ignore how words, as heaps of 'stone and sand', murder and bury what they speak of ('Minn ruħna 'l ġewwa'). |
