Abstract: The newspaper article was published on the day when Benedict XVI formally inaugurated his mission as Head of the Universal Church, five days after he was elected pope. The article which is based on an interview seeks to shed light on the credentials of Joseph Ratzinger, and his long and faithful service of the Church as a theologian and head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The author seeks to dispel any misconceptions and prejudice about the new Pope, while highlighting that everyone has a place in the Church.
