| Abstract: | The aim of this dissertation is to discover emerging technologies which have the potential to make a positive impact on local businesses. Several EU countries including Malta are currently undergoing political, financial, governmental and energy changes. Inflation can lead to a recession in both businesses and the general public. Hence, discovering disruptive technologies and implementing them in various sectors is crucial for organisations to adapt to the dynamic changes that are continuously happening. Emerging technologies come in many different forms, such as data, software, hardware, and artificial intelligence. These technologies are not only referring to newly developed inventions but may even be existing technologies with a new approach to using them to bring about further changes. Due to the broad nature of inflation itself, this study will be more focused on the rapidly growing number of emerging technologies and how they can be put into use by businesses to increase their profits, value and manage costs more effectively. With regard to this dissertation’s methodology, we plan to support our findings by taking quantitative measures of research such as surveys, questionnaires and polls to establish a statistical representation. Our audience being questioned includes (but is not limited to) people from various job levels found in an organisation, such as business owners, managers, and employees. With the data collected, we intend to analyse patterns and trends in technologies in comparison to other nations to find new opportunities for improving Malta’s economic situation. |
