| Abstract: | Tackling racial discrimination is not seen as a priority in the eyes of government agendas in comparison to other pressing topics such as migration, the economy, and health. However, millions of ethnic Europeans’ livelihoods are being infringed upon on a daily basis simply because of their ethnic and racial backgrounds and other peoples’ reluctancy to accept their differences into their local communities. This study is an analysis into the relationship between racial discrimination and integration and discusses how related EU policy frameworks work in their scope to minimize racial discrimination, and thus, mitigate the barriers of integration for the persons making up these racial and ethnic minorities within the European Union. |
